Today is the last day. . .

. . . that I'll weigh 185 pounds before IMFL

. . . that I'll drink alcohol before IMFL

. . . that I'll eat candy and other crap at work before IMFL (this will be the toughest)

I see that you are already starting to lose pounds... way to go!!

Just keep your focus on your goals. You have 50 days or so. This is a good time to start changing things.

Here's an interesting article about long-distance runners Tumahumari. The author said that Scott Jurek recommended he eat salads for breakfast. I told a client (just for fun) and he tried it -- loves it. Said that he thinks he was eating too many grains anyway and he still has sky-high energy - and he's tapering for an ultra right now:

You can always test it. Gordo has articles which mention his own salad concoctions for his several breakfasts also.

Maybe this will help get your weight down and still help your glycogen needs... always test but keep your mind open to watching changes (good and bad!)
