184.5?!?!?!?
Today's weigh in was 184.5. what the fuck? I mean, I usually drop a pound or so over the weekends. I rode for 2.5 hours on Saturday (2000 calories), did a 20 minute brick (300 calories), ran 11 miles on Sunday (1800 calories) followed by a 30 minute swim (300 calories). I've burned a total of 4400 calories this weekend and I gained weight. My food consumption was slighly higher, but nothing was that bad except for 3 breakfast tacos (I usually have 4) after the ATC ride and then a mocha milk shake later that day. I have one milkshake or bowl of ice cream per week and that's my treat. Damnit, this can be frustrating sometimes.

haha we're like opposites. I got home from my run on sunday and weighed 132! At one point, I think I was actually running on air.
It's getting frustrating, man. I'll figure out a way to lose weight somehow, damnit!
for what it's worth, i weighed 192 the winter before I started training for triathlon. For me, It's all about calories in/calories out. And the understanding that not all calories are created equal. I eat about 4000-5000 calories a day and don't gain a pound. But I also eat suuuuuuper clean foods.
See, I eat mostly clean foods as well. Not perfectly clean, but I'm definitely one of the healthiest eaters that I know. You said that you are down to abut 132 or so, right? And you eat 4-5k calories per day? What bugs me is that my lean mass is around 155 so everything on my body except for fat weighs more than your entire body plus about 20 pounds. I should be able to eat 4-5k calories as well and not gain a pound, but it's not happening. I only eat 2.5-3.5k calories per day depending upon my activity level. Well, I shoot for about a 400 calorie loss per day which is enough for me to lose weight, but not enough where my training could be hampered because I don't have enough fuel. If come July I'm not losing any weight, I'm going to throw the calorie counting out the window and just eat massive amounts of clean foods.
I was 132 the other day after losing tons of water. I'm normally right at 140.
I don't really calorie count, either. I just eat until I feel fueled properly. Once every couple of months I audit what i'm eating to see what the calorie count is. Last I did, it was right at 4000. I'm eating more now, though, so I guess it's between 4-5k.
I was in your boat last season... wanting to lose weight while training. I felt like my training really suffered because I was trying to lose weight, yet stay fueled for my races. And even though I wouldn't starve myself or anything, especially while exercising, it bugged me that I couldn't solely eat for fuel - instead I was eating for fuel and weight loss. So I just gave up on it, and when the off season came around, base trained my ass off and did my dieting. Dropped nearly all my extra weight off and started the season at 140-145. I have since put on muscle mass and I guess continued to lose a little fat, because I weigh the same :-)
A little over a year ago I was smokin weed and eating wendy's, taco cabana and chicken fried steak for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Boy how things have changed. Maybe by next year, I'll be drinking alien juice, eating spare computer parts and floating around in space for fun.
